Susenji MOFA+ Product Update & FAQ
Important Notice Regarding Susenji MOFA+
Pixiepax is an authorized distributor of Susenji products since July 2019. All information regarding Susenji MOFA+ has been provided to us by our supplier, Susenji. We rely on their updates and lab test certifications to provide accurate information to our customers.
Susenji has provided distributors with SGS lab testing results for MOFA+ done in 2023, which confirmed that the product did not contain sennosides or any harmful substances. We continue to monitor the situation closely and will share any updates as they become available.
Release of the News
On 5 Feb 2025, we received a notification from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and our supplier regarding concerns about Susenji MOFA+.
In response, we immediately took down all MOFA+ products from sale and began internal reviews. We are in communication with Susenji to obtain further information on the sample that was tested.
What Do We Know So Far
Media Reports (Published on 11 Feb 2025)
- The media reported that traces of sennosides were found in products branded as “Susenji MOFA+.”
- Sennosides is commonly used for the relief of constipation.
- It is not a substance listed under the Poisons Act 1938.
Has MOFA+ Been Recalled?
- No official recall has been issued at this time from Susenji.

Under the exchange program, you can exchange your MOFA+ for other products that are not affected, including: Ollie, Depuff, Shake, Luna, Rumi and Sculpt.
- Distributors and suppliers are conducting their own investigations.
- We have halted all sales of MOFA+ while awaiting further clarification.
MOFA+ Testing
- Has MOFA+ been tested before? → According to Susenji, MOFA+ has undergone multiple tests.
- Was Sennoside ever an ingredient? → Susenji has confirmed that sennoside was never part of the formulation.
- Latest test results? → Susenji’s SGS testing in 2023 confirmed that sennosides were not present in the product.
What about the other Susenji Products?
Apart from Mofa+, Susenji's other products do not appear to be affected. Susenji regularly conducts tests on their products and these results are shared with us. For your reference, the latest test results for each of the products can be found below:
